Brief Description:
Lead role in the design of Kamakura’s Risk Portal, i.e. a Web-based product that accesses Kamakura’s enterprise risk software (KRM) and legacy client application data tables to consolidate, format, and deliver financial information to end users.
This is a client-facing position that includes direct client sales and client relationship management, product requirements specification, Development guidance, product release management, quality control and client training.
Job Requirements:
Assists in the creation of division strategy and consults with senior management in providing direction to ensure growth and financial success. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills are peremptory.
Further requirements are strong communication skills, analytical skills, and thorough understanding of product development and product management for financial IT. MS in computer science and/or finance degree or other graduate degrees plus financial industry accreditation such as CFA standing is highly desirable. Successful track record in software engineering management or related experience and solid references are essential.

Additional Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the person appointed to this position will be to:
- Work closely with Clients, Sales, Marketing and Development to manage the development of the product lines, drive new product launches and monitor success in the field
- Work closely with Development to lead the new product development effort, by establishing deep understanding of product functionality, and defining requirements
- Research and anticipate customer needs in current and potential market segments
- Conduct analysis of Risk systems used by or developed for the financial services industry (banking, brokerage, insurance, mortgage and other lending activities, etc.) to ensure we are more functionally rich than our competitors.
- Work with existing clients to specify changes to the existing solution to meet the specific requirements of the client.
